Description
In this episode, I’ll be giving a brief introduction to three meta-disciplines and how they approach writing: the humanities, the social sciences, and the sciences. Our first guest of the season is Dr. Holly Gallagher, a Science Writing Lecturer at the University of Georgia. She teaches courses in science and health writing and her teaching interests include discussions of ethics in contemporary science research and communication between scientists and the general public. I wanted to interview Dr. Gallagher for today’s episode because she has research interests in both the sciences and the humanities, as her doctoral work specialized in literature and the visual arts.
