Heather Sue is a Doctoral Candidate and Instructor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Georgia. She regularly teaches courses in the Sociology of Alcohol and Drug Use and Medical Sociology. Her research and teaching interests are informed heavily by the disability justice movement and her own experiences as a wheelchair-user, emphasizing and working to dismantle the barriers to access for disabled people in health care and higher education. She has served on the editorial team for The Classic journal since 2018 as part of her participation in Franklin College’s Writing Intensive Program.
