Guest: Ana Milewski

Ana Milewski is currently working on her degree in microbiology with a minor in applied biotechnology. She also does research in a medical mycology lab. She plans on going to graduate school to pursue a PhD in Microbiology or other related fields. In her free time she likes to bake, play music, and play Dungeons and Dragons.

Ana’s paper is titled “Survival of the Fittest: Studying the Pathogenicity of Cryptococcus neoformans,” and overviews her research on the effect that the gene SSN6 and its congenial pair have on the pathogenesis of the human fungal pathogen Cryptococcus neoformans.
